What to Take to Cuba

The teacher in me never quits!…LOL…If you are all caught up in your reading so far, here is a gentle reminder of what you should consider bringing with you on the trip. Just follow this link –

http://www.cubarocks.co.uk/what-to-take-to-cuba

There is other interesting reading there as well. PLEASE note the info about having copies of passports, and a list of the emergency phone numbers for your ATM cards. DAH…if you lose your card, how are you going to contact Visa? your bank?

I would strongly recommend you come back to this when you think you are all packed!!! Better still, print it out and check off the items you have packed. Some items may be considered optional…guys…forget the sarongs!

And by all means...LEAVE THE FANCY JEWELLERY AT HOME…..(IF YOU DON’T YOUR SPOUSE WONT HAVE ANY REASON TO BUY YOU MORE). Seriously why chance it? This means that expensive engagement ring…LOL

As for ‘gifts’ please read to the end of the article for more on that subject…

Cuba here we come!

This is the first post about our upcoming 2014 trip to the island nation of Cuba. Our group is mainly composed of Canadians, but we are also fortunate to have three Mexican friends along for the journey. Stay tuned as we explore the culture and customs of Cuba, starting in Old Havana and travelling to Cienfuegos, Trinidad and Pina del Rio. Along the way we will see some of Ernest Hemingway’s Cuba, while sampling Cuban rum, maybe smoking a Cuban cigar and listening to some great rhythms… So sit back with a Cuba Libre and enjoy the trip!
